thigh high boots
so the “in” look in nyc for all the ladies is thigh-high boots with their jeans tucked in. it’s interesting to watch trends take off. i’ll admit, the first time i noticed a cute girl in thigh-highs in nyc last year, i ended up dating her for a few months. something very sexy about thigh-highs.
however, it starts to lose its appeal once every girl in the city has the same look.
two years ago it was ugg boots. cute to over done took about 3 months.
then there were the platform shoes, that gave every girl an additional 4 inches of height. that one was pretty bad right from the start. nothing cute, just big ugly platform shoes.
of course, nothing compares to the ultimate travesty, the dark blue jeans with super big cuffs. “fashionable” guys and gilrs picked up on this one…but there wasn’t ever really anything too fashionable about it.
for guys the big thing is the intentionally messed up hair, usually accomplished with a heavy dose of hair gel. you can’t spit in any direction right now without hitting a guy with this current hot trend.
