Incorporating Chinese dumplings, amateur rap music, and two art students, the Dumpling House Rap Video is a cross-cultural triangulation born out of work and love, love of work, love of dumplings, and working at making what you love the same as what you do.
A duet between two young men living in early 21st century New York City, “The Dumpling House Rap Video†is a musical-video celebration of food, video art, friendship and the diversity of the Lower East Side by James English Leary and Matthew Lutz-Kinoy.
Its international life as a mega-hit has included screenings from Milan to Minneapolis, as well as a summer long party at the Original Dumpling House at 118 Eldridge St in 2005.
The remix will be dropping soon.
