EditShare at HD World
Ahhh, shared storage. SAN’s. The cost. The headaches. The volume based management. The prickly little nuances of which programs and machines you can and cannot use. The administration overhead. The per seat licenses… enough to turn one away from it and back towards little desktop drives.
But then, along comes EditShare… and everything starts playing together in the same san(d) box. Niiice! No muss, no fuss. File based sharing, Final Cut Studio project sharing, Avid, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Maya… pro studio apps all working together … on OSX/Windows/Linux… all at the same time. And it SCALES to 100’s of Terabytes.
