Scribemedia.org Waste Your Time Wisely: “Broken Lunch Date”

What happens when I have no gear to review?
Why, I go shoot some stupid footage of Jonathon Light with my trusty HVX200 in sub freezing temperatures, the Letus Extreme adapter, and some Canon FD lenses.

The light was nice today, so we just ran out and played for an hour. I grabbed the 50mm f1.4, the 24mm f2.0 and the zoom 35-105mm f3.5 - all older Canon FD glass, lots of fun to play with. This is why I need an on board monitor - the focus is consistently off and obviously exposure is all over the place … but it was fun - I repeat FUN! - to just go shoot whatever popped into mind and run back and slap it together. Final Cut Studio 2, HVX200, 1 4GB P2 card, some frosty weather, and a nicely angled sun smacking the facades of Broadway in Downtown Manhattan. Can’t wait to get that Glidecam X10 in to test! :)

The soundtrack is James Blunt - “So Long Jimmy” - you can buy it off iTunes or at your local WalMart/Target/Virgin - but definitely check out the rest of the album if you haven’t (like that could happen in this day and age of the Clear Channel / Viacom overlords)

The subject is ScribeMedia.org’s own Jonathon Light. As always, he is available for Commercials, Features, Bar Mitzvahs, Catering, etc. his site is http://jonathanlight.com
