Technology, Media and the Law: Kevin Kuzas, General Counsel Comcast Interactive
We’re launching a new WebTV series with the formidable Ken Florin, media industry lawyer extraordinaire. The series, called Technology, Media and the Law, covers legal issues affecting the ever changing media industry. Often, we’re trying to do media deals or create business models that have no legal precedent. TML will be a resource for those pushing the boundaries of the media industry.
In episode one of Technology, Media and the Law, Ken speaks with Kevin Kuzas, general counsel of Comcast Interactive Media. CIM has been tasked with moving Comcast beyond “just cable”. CIM launched Fancast to get into internet distribution of movies, TV and other content, Ziddio to build a user-generated content platform, and Game Invasion to develop a presence in one of the fastest growing sectors of the media industry - online video gaming. Kevin Kuzas gives us insights on all of this as well many other CIM initiatives, as well as his thoughts on the critical issues for online media in 2008 and beyond.
