The Toronto-New York Financial Services Alliance

On March 4, 2008, the Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance, in partnership with the Province of Ontario, the Canadian Consulate in New York, and the Toronto Financial Services Alliance, hosted an event for 130 guests from both Canada and New York to discuss the forging of a new financial services alliance between New York City and the Greater Toronto area.

The event was produced by New York Grant Company and Alan/Anthony, Inc.

Speakers discuss the reasons why companies, such as Citco, UBS, Harmonic, & Fulcrum, have located in the province of Ontario and what is on the horizon for the Toronto Marketplace. Toronto, the third largest financial center in North America, offers highly skilled and experienced financial professionals; extremely low turnover rates; and low costs relative to other financial capitals. Additionally, in this time of market turbulence, speakers give insight to opportunities for companies that wish to expand and serve domestic and global clients.

Following the speakers is a series of interviews.
