ScribeMedia Launches Naked Media Live Video WebTV Series
Scribe Media has partnered with Teeming Media to produce a monthly live WebTV series called Naked Media.

A New Kind of Show About Media-on-Media
Through interviews with cutting edge leaders and thinkers from the media industry, Naked Media explores the nexus of content, advertising and technology — all with an eye toward measurable goals in the digital age. Naked Media peels back the covers to show in stark reality how it’s done, what the media managers are doing to do the best they can even as the landscape shifts beneath their feet. The show may attract some media stars but will not be about their stardom. Rather it’s the goals they are trying to achieve and how they get there. The show’s guests are as likely to be dynamic speakers from small- and medium-sized media influencers as from the behemoths.
Hosted by award-winning journalist and media veteran Dorian Benkoil and enhanced through viewer participation, the show, in six Webisodes to start, will cut through the bloviation, challenge the conventional wisdom and get at real issues that provide “aha” moments for the executives who are watching and participating. Whether in one-on-one interviews or panel discussions, it will explore a wealth of issues, everything from making money from the latest ad technologies to the privacy issues surrounding behavioral targeting to the buzz around social media and widgets to the financials of media deals. The show will effort a mix of live in-studio interviews, on-site events and on-demand offerings, and will include audience questions and discussion areas.
The show will also distinguish itself through fun and personality, with touches of whimsy, such as showing the guests as they come off the elevator, engaged in casual conversation, or a short segment of humorous send-ups of recent media news.
Host Bio: Dorian Benkoil is SVP and founder of Teeming Media. The founding and award-winning international producer of ABCNews.com, he has been involved in digital media since before the term existed. An MBA and media entrepreneur and consultant, he is a columnist for JackMyers Media Business Report, a contributor to the Corante network’s “Rebuilding Media” and Shelly Palmer’s “Media 3.0,” a former foreign correspondent and a frequent speaker at media industry conferences and events.
Our next guest is Dave Morgan, former EVP Global Advertising for AOL, who sold the behavioral targeting ad company he founded, Tacoda, to AOL for a price reported between $250 and $300 million.
We’ll ask Dave about everything from the promise and issues of behavioral targeting, to working at AOL, to what he’s up to now (raising funds for a new venture?), to what he learned to do better after the first time he built and sold a company (marketing technology and service company Real Media) , to his view of the newspaper industry as it morphs (he used to be a newspaper industry lawyer). A wide-ranging discussion with a smart guy who knows a lot about media and the changing media-verse.
