The mediabistro circus was a magnet for many of the movers and shakers in digital media.

I sat down with a few of the guest speakers to talk about subjects ranging from trends in so-called citizen journalism to the future of one-to-one marketing (which, after getting a lot of buzz in the last couple of years, may be going by the board because of the proliferation of Web 2.0 tools with an emphasis on community).

The comments are chock-full of insights about macro and micro trends throughout the digital-media space.

I spoke to (in order):

  • Shiv Singh, director of social media, Avenue A/Razorfish.
  • Daniel Graf, co-founder, president-CEO of mobile distribution company Kyte.
  • Dina Kaplan, co-founder-COO of blip.tv.
  • Robert Scoble, managing director of FastCompany.TV.
  • Steve Rubel, senior VP, Director of Insights at Edelman.

Enjoy.

  1. i liked the shiv interview. the takeaway, to me, is that people who buy things synthesize information from a variety of sources before making decisions and marketers have to be aware of all the information sources, including people, that a purchaser relies on before making a decision.

once you know what those sources are, how do you develop a marketing strategy to make sure your brand is a part of all those touch points.

    that’s a whole nother conversation…
