LiveU Inc., which develops and markets technologies that transmit live video over wireless networks, just got a financial shot in the arm. On Tuesday the company announced that it raised $9 million in a second round of financing. Venture capital firms Canaan Partners and Carmel Ventures ponied up the dollars. Ori Bendori, general partner of Carmel Ventures, said in a statement that LiveU has a “disruptive technology” that will change the market of video broadcasting and enable the market of online TV. LiveU has raised more than $12 million to date.
