Isn’t going to the movies supposed to be an escape from BlackBerrys and other hand-held devices? Apparently not. Verizon Wireless has introduced a text messaging polling program for moviegoers. The interactive program debuts in mid-June in 10 (major) markets and during 3,500 show times. It asks moviegoers questions about their musical preferences (does Jascha Heifetz count?) and gives them the option to text their responses. The results will be displayed on the movie screen in a bar chart. Marvel.
