YouTube Acquisition Designed to Let You Play Director

Log on to YouTube, fill that artistic jones. Google’s YouTube is on the cusp of acquiring Omnisio, a service that lets users edit videos, TechCrunch reports. Omnisio lets users extract sections of clips they find on the Web (Blip.tv, Google Video or YouTube) and then take those clips and stitch them together to create new embeddable compilations. TechCrunch pegs the price at roughly $15 million.
