Last night we were reading The Week when we stumbled on an item about a new online search site called Cuil, which is hoping to give Google a run for its money. The site (pronounced “cool”) claims to search three times as many Web pages as Google and ten times as many as Microsoft. The Washington Post has an initial review of the service. Hint: Google gurus don’t have much to worry about. (For the curious-minded, Cuil is an old Irish term for knowledge.)
