The Black Hat Security Conference this week in Las Vegas ended on a nasty note: three French journalists for Global Security Mag were kicked out of the conference after they allegedly “sniffed” the press room computer network. The journalists said they sniffed the press room to educate the public about the privacy dangers of using public Internet connections. Bad form? Maybe. But the journalists had the right idea.
