Another Step in Streaming Web Applications Through Your TV
Ah, the dog days of August. What better time to send (yet another) chill down the backs of network-TV executives. Intel and Yahoo! on Wednesday announced a partnership to create a so-called “Widget Channel.” The channel will enable TV viewers to interact with mini Web applications that run alongside TV shows. Devices based on the new chip are due in the first half of 2009, Reuters reported.
