Olympics Postpartum
I’m a little sad as I wake up on my first day without the Olympics to grey skies and loud construction noises. My days will no longer be filled with Olympics coverage.
NBC is trying to ween me off the Olympics with a steady diet of reality TV programming, such as America You’ve Got Talent, but I’m thinking that it will take more than David Hasselhoff curating a talent contest to pull me out of the doldrums.
I wanted to grab one of my favorite moments from the Olympics and embed it in this post but NBC doesn’t allow people to grab and embed videos.
NBC, you did so many things right in your multichannel coverage of the Olympics. Why not let people grab their favorite videos and feature them on their sites?!!?
This is like a floor excercise performance where a gymnast nails all the tough flips tumbles and screws up the final “dance” element to drop from sure gold to fourth place. Embed codes are new media 101.
I was thinking it would be cool to extend the Olympics by another two weeks and fill up the time slots with bowling, pool (even trick pool), poker and other random sports.
