A renewed battle over so-called network neutrality is brewing. Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North Dakota) plans to introduce a bill in January that would bar Internet providers (AT&T, Comcast) from blocking Web content, per Reuters. Dorgan said legislation is necessary to prevent telephone and cable companies from discriminating against Web content. Call it the battle of the Goliaths: The net neutrality fight pits ISPs like Verizon and Comcast against content companies such as Google and Microsoft.
