Publishing companies are looking for a way — any way — to keep the book alive. So why not turn to game consoles. That’s what Nintendo and HarpersCollins are doing. Nintendo, creator of such classics as Mario Brothers, will now make Shakespeare, Dickens and Jane Austen among others in the HarperCollins’ 100 Classic Book Collection available via their portable gaming consoles.
