Time once was that Google was the company everyone loved. Now? Not so much. In its annual survey of America’s 20 most trusted companies, the Ponemon Institute reports that Google fell of the list along with Weight Watchers and Bank of America. “Google (and Microsoft) suffer from big company syndrome,” Dr. Larry Ponemon tells the San Francisco Chronicle. “People figure that if you’re big and collecting data, there must be an issue.” Which explains why American Express tops the list?
