Gadget freaks are freaking out that the Amazon released a Kindle app for the iPhone. Seems they missed that Lexcycle’s Stanza already does what Amazon promises to do.
Stanza gives iPhone and iTouch users access to approximately 50,000 paid titles, as well as 50,000 free titles from the public domain such as those found in Project Gutenberg. Amazon offers about 90,000 paid titles for the Kindle.
We’re all for more options and more players in the space. We’re just wary about the hype surrounding something that’s really not very different. (Filed under: Buzz Kill).
