I have no idea what killed this deer in our yard. Whatever killed it had to be big enough to rip its leg and hip right off the body. I do know the deer is about 100 pounds and much faster than I am. Whatever took it down can certainly outrun me, despite the blazing fast times I recorded in gym class 100 yard dashes back in the day.
I’m trying to figure out where I should move the deer. Casually drag it into the neighbors yard? Stuff it into a trash can for the garbage truck, which doesn’t come back until next Thursday? Break out the Cutco hunting knife and make venison burgers??
