I’ve been talking to quite a few image recognition / speech to text / metadata companies over the past few months, such as LTU Technologies, DigitalSmiths and Ramp.
So I was pleasantly interested / surprised when Coke Zero launched an interactive campaign that included facial recognition. Normally I would have probably skipped the ad, but I decided to click away.
It was pretty cool. And the clever storyline was that Coke Zero looks and tastes just like Coke. It’s like a doppelgänger.
The campaign is all about “Who is your double?”. You can take a picture of yourself, connect with your Facebook account, and it will search through photos on Facebook to find someone who looks like you.
