Twitter has Summize on its radar

Social media Web site Twitter could be on the cusp of a major acquisition — and a business model along with it. Technology blog Gigaom reports that Twitter is about to buy Summize, which uses the Twitter API to search and find relevant messages on Twitter. The move would give Twitter more clout for developing contextual advertising and offer Summize, a startup, a solid vehicle for gaining better traction online.
